Heugh Road New Store Opening
Cashbuild, in its 43rd year of trading and with over 260 walk-in stores, is pleased to announce the opening of its new store in Heugh Road in Eastern Cape. In spite of the pandemic, Cashbuild continues to create jobs, open new stores and help communities. The store opening will take place on Thursday the 25th of March at Shop 8, Time Square Shopping Centre, corner of Heugh Road and 5th Avenue, Walmer, Port Elizabeth.
As people still navigate their way through new challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic, Cashbuild continues to supply the construction industry and general public with lowest price, top-quality building materials, paint, tools and hardware. To make things easier for its customers, Cashbuild has created a range of value-added services, including free local delivery and a glass cutting service where large panes can be cut into custom sizes depending on the shoppers’ needs.
There is also a service which is similar to a layby facility and allows customers to accumulate funds until they have enough to buy what they need. The Cashbuild Payment Card can be used for this purpose. Cashbuild also has a VIC (very important customer) programme which rewards customers based on the value of their purchases. There are specific terms and conditions that apply to this programme. Another unique initiative from Cashbuild is ‘Send a House Home’, whereby goods may be paid for at one store, but picked up at, or delivered from another store.
Cashbuild Shopper is another way in which Cashbuild communicates with and rewards customers.
Cashbuild has a heart for education and looks forward to the day, hopefully soon, when it may once again celebrate its store openings with the Art-at-Heart events through an art competition which local schools enter. This corporate social initiative has been running for twenty years and enabled more than R45-million worth of Cashbuild vouchers to be given to over 3 500 schools in Southern Africa. The schools enter the art project, the winning art is displayed in Cashbuild stores and the schools use their Cashbuild vouchers to buy building materials so that they may repair and maintain their school premises.
Cashbuild product ranges include cement, timber, paint, flooring, plumbing, water tanks, electrical equipment, general hardware, ladders, power tools and anything anyone might need for building work, repair and even décor items. All Cashbuild stores have implemented necessary Covid-19 health precautions. Standard safety measures are in place and customers will not be allowed to enter any Cashbuild store if they are not wearing a mask. Shoppers must adhere to social distancing rules at all times (Cashbuild has put markers down in-store to help guide this process), and sanitizing stations are located at all store entrances, till points and at various cleaning stations within the stores.
